We woke up this morning to the sound of a train horn. Over the way was an EWS Class 66 no. 66232 which was in the process of shunting empty hopper wagons into the sand and gravel yard over the way. As I am a very keen railway enthusiast, I watched this with interest. It is amazing how long it takes for what looks like simple train movements to happen. The loco went forward out of the siding and back in on two occasions. Eventually, it had a full train. Unfortunately, we had to go out so I didn’t see it leave so I am not sure if it reversed out or ran around and pulled the train out. I will have to check the track layout on Google.
Anyway here are the photos.
