My goodness, that was a day

They promised us rain and high winds. They were’nt wrong!

We had very high winds and a lot of rain. The rest of the country, though fared a lot worse than us. Here are a couple of reports:

Firstly from the BBC for the country wide effects – 108mph – Wow!

Secondly, we cancelled the regular Wednesday visit by our two youngest grandchildren – Harry and Dylan – because the Orwell Bridge was closed. Once this is closed, everything comes through town and the whole place was gridlocked for the late afternoon. The Ipswich Star has the story HERE.

I ventured out onto the balcony and took a video.  Check out the level of wind noise and the movement of the water. remember that this is behind the lock so all the movement is wind related!
